Hi, I'm Nick Hindes. I am 25 and I am from Port
Huron, Michigan. I am the oldest of three brothers. I graduated from Saginaw
Valley State University in 2008 with a degree in Secondary Education with my
major in History/Social Studies and English-Literature. I was a teacher at a small
charter school for almost two years until last June.
Over the past year, my life has gone through some
drastic changes. Up until last June, I wasn't really living for the Lord and on
the verge of a complete break down; gradually, I was dying inside. I will spare
some details that I will share with you all until we meet at training camp, but
it wasn't pretty. God showed up in my life in a way that I would have never
expected Him to do so. A spiritual father of mine invited me out and since the
day I was asked to visit Spain, something happened in my life. God has reigned
and is reigning supreme in my life, and what is becoming of this relationship
is absolutely amazing.
A year ago, I spent six months at G42 Leadership
Academy in Malaga, Spain. This was place where I was equipped and empowered to
go reclaim the inheritance that we were given by God. This past Spring I led a
Real Life trip to the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. We spent a lot of time
working with special needs orphanages and village outreaches in the surrounding
cities of Ongole. This was a dream trip for me since I had always wanted to go
to India and I will say that it was very hard to leave. A few weeks after returning from India,
I went out again, this time to Israel where I led another Real Life trip. Israel has been one of those places
I've always wanted to visit and when I was to lead again, it caught my
eye. We had a great summer in
Israel and experienced God moving in powerful ways.
Each and every one of you has been called for this trip.
You all have specific gifts, abilities, and talents that were chosen to impact
this nation. Do not let the enemy rob of this of this; he gets you to
over-question the "why" and then gets you to doubt the
"why." You are all men and women of God, of which I am very honored
to serve with and along side of all of you for this season. I look forward to meeting all of
you.
